Downtown Art Festival

North Florida’s art scene swings into high gear on Saturday , November 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the highly acclaimed 36th Annual Downtown Festival & Art Show. The streets of historic downtown Gainesville, from City Hall to the Hippodrome State Theatre will be transformed into a celebration of art and creativity complete with live music, performing arts and a spectacular array of food. More than 100,000 art lovers will fill the streets to enjoy and purchase one-of-a-kind artwork. The festival features 240 local and national artists displaying original oils and acrylics, vibrant watercolors, unique sculptures, dazzling jewelry, decorative ceramics and vivid photography. Children can create their own art at the Imagination Station, a free hands-on art activity area including sidewalk-chalk drawing, painting, mask design, puppet creation, clay sculpting and interactive entertainment. For music lovers enjoy continuous, live entertainment on four stages by local bands, solo musicians and dance companies.

The festival weekend will kick off with a free Downtown Blues Concert on Friday, from 7 to 10 p.m. featuring Gracie Curran & The High Falutin’ Band at 9 pm, with Mr. Aullie (7 pm) and the DevilJays (8 pm) opening the show by virtue of winning the 2017 North Central Florida Blues Society Blues Challenge. Central Florida Veg Fest is an exciting day of colorful and educational exhibits and activities! It will take place at beautiful Orlando Festival Park near downtown Orlando on October 28, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Admission is FREE! Veg Fest is a family-friendly, dog-friendly, alcohol-free, and smoke-free event. Veg Fest, now in its 12th year, is one of the biggest and best vegetarian festivals in the country!

Central Florida Veg Fest will draw both committed vegetarians/vegans and those who want to learn more about how veg-living enhances our health, the planet, and its inhabitants. Come enjoy a diverse cross-section of vegetarian cuisines and lifestyles. Discover new products and ideas from over 200 vendors and 100 contributors and enjoy a wide variety of presentations and food preparation demos. Not a vegetarian? Whether you’re looking for new ideas to add color and variety to your meals or you’re a “seasoned” vegetarian interested in expanding your knowledge of nutritious and ethical foods, this is the place for you. There are so many fun and interesting things happening at Veg Fest you will want to stay all day. 2017 Southeast Bunfest

Join us at the 6th annual Southeast Bunfest held in sunny South Florida. Bunfest is a one day event dedicated to Rabbits and Guinea Pigs and the people that love them. Hosted by the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast to raise awareness for our furry friends.

Bunfest is a great event for critter pet owners, animal enthusiasts or even families considering adopting a rabbit or guinea pig.  Enjoy a fun filled day of educational seminars, activities, vendors and more!

Proceeds from Bunfest are donated to HSTC to help care for the small critters at the shelter.
